For implementing streaming services Televideocom uses the best technologies on the market, namely:

Smooth Streaming

Smooth Streaming

Smooth Streaming is Microsoft's implementation of adaptive streaming technology, that is a form of audio/video, Web-based distribution that uses HTTP progressive download technology. Instead of being transmitted via download or stream encoded with CBR (Constant Bit Rate) the content is distributed to the client as a series of fragments. When the client plays the fragments, network conditions may change, for example, the bandwidth may decrease or the power of the processor can be interrupted.
In case any of these playback problem issues, the client can ask the server for the fragments encoded with lower bit rates, to compensate the conditions of the local system. Conversely, if the breeding conditions improve, the client can request playback fragments encoded at higher bit rates.
In fact, the client is able to continue playing media files without interruption, buffering or blocks. Consequently the user gets the highest quality reproduction available, without any interruption in the flow.

Dynamic Streaming

Dynamic Streaming

This new distribution method allows, through normal HTTP connections, streaming video on demand and live in adaptive bitrate MP4 content standards. This functionality gives designers, developers and content publishers more options for distributing high-quality multimedia content.
- Support for streaming at various bit rates, allowing to vary the quality according to bandwidth and computer power. The progressive distribution via HTTP uses more bandwidth, since it is not smart enough to limit the distribution. For example, a 30-minute video will be fully downloaded, regardless of whether or not the client watches it.
- Research into the video, which allows you to move in a long format videos without having to download it first.
- Control of bandwidth, which enables them to manage the bandwidth for downloading without affecting other applications.

Http Streaming

Http streaming

The HTTP Streaming is a new distribution method that allows, through normal HTTP connections, on demand and live streaming video with speed adaptive multimedia content. This feature adds to the normal and existing technologies by providing in fact a further and more option for high quality content distribution, ensuring at the same time, the achievement of all kinds of devices (including mobile).
In addition, the HTTP Streaming allows to make the most of existing infrastructure such as caching storage such as content distribution networks, ISPs, virtual caches, networks in general.

RSTP

RSTP

The RTSP protocol was developed by RealNetworks, Netscape Communications, and ColumbiaUniversity.
The RTSP optimizes data flow.
It is designed to be similar to the HTTP network protocol. Unlike the HTTP, RTSP controls data stream with a functionality conceptually similar to a recorder. The RTSP protocol is not directly involved in streaming transmission. Most servers use RTP to transport media stream, but some manufacturers use their own transport protocols.
